I am here to help you struggle less—to turn down the volume on anxiety, reduce conflict, and create more ease in your life. I specialize in guiding the “neurospicy,” the emotionally intense, and those navigating the big, unspoken issues of identity and intimacy. Whether you’ve been told you’re “too much” or feel like you’re constantly fighting your own brain, I provide a warm, sex-positive, and non-judgmental space where levity and honesty are essential tools for healing.
My Approach: My work is collaborative and deeply relational, informed by Attachment Theory, the Gottman Method, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I utilize both bottom-up and top-down processing to help you build nervous system regulation and lasting insight. I also weave in Feminist Theory to honor how societal pressures impact your well-being.
Specialties & Populations: I serve adult individuals and couples/relational structures (including polycules and ENM). I am proudly LGBTQIA+, Kink, and neurodivergent-affirming. My specialties include:

Hi! Congratulations on taking this step toward getting connected with a therapist. Engaging in counseling can be one of the most impactful things you do for yourself and your relationship(s).
I am experienced with poly relationships of many configurations, as well as some of the challenges that often arise when a couple is navigating opening up their relationship. I am also comfortable and experienced with all gender identities and expressions, as well as a broad spectrum of sexualities (e.g., queer, same-gender-loving, kink). Some other presenting concerns I also frequently work with include anxiety and depression, spiritual concerns, trauma, and family of origin issues. My style is warm and gentle but direct.
I look forward to learning about you, and how I can support you in living your life at its fullest and best potential – even if that seems an impossibly long way off from here.

“Allow yourself to become intimately connected with all your parts.” -Virginia Satir
It takes courage to shine light on the parts of you that want to be seen. With a spirit of play and creativity, I will encourage you to engage your sense of wonder, so we can identify and build on your unique strengths.
Do you struggle in your relationships? What could it be like to intentionally cultivate a relationship where you are always seen and valued? With the right fit, that’s what happens in therapy. I will accept you exactly as you are, while making space for the person you are growing into - with compassion, warmth, and sometimes even humor. All of your emotions are welcome in our exploration - even the ones you judge yourself for.
You deserve to feel love and belonging.
As your therapist, I will invite you into a deeper and more rewarding relationship with yourself. Therapy looks different for everyone. We will work together to collaboratively discover what therapy looks like for you. You know yourself better than I ever will.
If you are seeking therapy with a partner or partners, I will help you learn to slow down and LISTEN to each other with curiosity, respect, and a willingness to be surprised. With couples and partners in all kinds of relationships, I support you to communicate more effectively, and see the best in one another.
Using a culturally sensitive, anti-oppression lens, I welcome people of every ability, size, gender, national origin, race/ethnicity, religious affiliation, relationship style; anywhere along the gender and sexuality spectrum - from teens to elders. I am CNM/polyamory-aware and BDSM/kink-knowledgeable, and sex worker friendly.

MISSION DISTRICT, SAN FRANCISCO, CA, AND REMOTE
I currently have availability on Wednesdays and Thursdays in person or online. I work in English.
Hello! I’m Jack. A warm, calm counsellor who will hold space for you to be 100% yourself. Our sessions are there to provide a non-judgemental space for you to explore what’s troubling you, helping you to get to know yourself better and feel more empowered and at peace.
I tailor my approach to you, drawing what I think will be helpful from humanistic, psychodynamic, parts work, mindfulness and somatic approaches.
My approach is relational at its heart, and my goal is that clients can feel safe enough in our relationship to start to explore some of the patterns that might emerge between us, use our relationship as a space to try out new things, and receive support that might not have been available in the past.
I offer both short term (12, 18 and 24 weeks) and open-ended work, either online or in person.
What you can expect:
Our sessions are a space where you can explore themes from your life that are troubling you, as well as an opportunity to be with whatever is present for you on the day.
We might do a mix of mostly talking, with some mindfulness practices, some time spent noticing what you’re feeling in your body, and some time taking slow breaths to help regulate the nervous system, depending on what feels helpful to you and what I think would best support you. For some people, being in touch with their body can feel uncomfortable, difficult, or unsafe. I will always offer suggestions, not demand that you try things, and my way of working focuses on consent.
What can you talk about in our sessions?
You can talk about whatever you want to in our sessions, and when we start working together, we can see if there are certain themes or areas of your life that you’d like to specifically focus on.
Previously, I have worked with clients bringing material from areas such as grief, low self-confidence, childhood bereavement, sexuality, gender identity, race and cultural identity, sex (including kink and chemsex), anxiety and depression, abuse, relationships (including polyamory and ethical non-monogamy), disordered eating, neurodivergence, work, family, activism, racism and structural injustice, ageing, self-harm, and suicidal feelings.
In addition to my private practice, I have three years experience in a service offering low cost therapy for LGBTQIA+ and questioning people, and have both professional and lived experience with issues affecting these communities.
I am sex worker allied, anti-racist and trans-inclusive and I strive to provide a space where people with experiences of marginalisation feel welcome, respected and safe.
I try to make my practice as accessible as possible. For detailed accessibility information, please see the accessibility section on my website, and you’re welcome to get in touch with any questions.
My first session
I offer a lower-cost first session (currently £40) so that we can meet, explore any goals or desires you might have for therapy, and get to know each other a bit.
When we first meet, I might ask you open questions such as, ‘What brings you to therapy at this time?’ as well as providing you with information about how I work and what I can offer you. Our first session is a good opportunity for you to ask any questions you might have about therapy in general or my way of working, and for us to address any worries you might have about counselling.
I will always be honest about whether I think I can help you, and will only agree to work with you if I feel confident that I can be of genuine help and support to you.
Coming to counselling for the first time (or coming back to counselling after a break) is not always an easy thing, and I commend you for doing this for yourself, making this time for you, and choosing to get to know yourself better.
Training, qualifications & experience I have a certificate in Group Therapy, a Diploma and an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling. I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to the BACP ethical code.
I have experience working in the charity sector as a counsellor in a low cost service for LGBTQIA+ and questioning people, and have had additional CPD in a range of areas including chemsex, alcohol and addiction. I am currently training in the TIST model, a parts-based approach to working with trauma.
Aside from my role as a counsellor, I have over a decade of experience in advocacy and support work for adults and children going through the asylum process, experience in running groups, and in community activism around areas such as mental health, food and land justice.
