Master of Social Work (MSW); Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Illinois License #149018263

Troy Johnson, LCSW provides incisive, culturally fluent psychotherapy and specialized clinical services for adults and relationships across diverse identities and structures.

Individual Psychotherapy: Focused, insight-driven sessions that help clients cut through the static and move from self-awareness to real change. Rooted in queered and reframed CBT, Narrative Therapy, and ACT, this work is designed for those who want therapy that challenges as much as it supports.

Gender Therapy & Letters of Support: As an ally from the inside, I offer compassionate and efficient assessments and documentation for gender dysphoria and gender-affirming surgery. All letters adhere to WPATH standards and reflect a deep respect for each client’s self-definition, autonomy, and timeline.

Polyamory & ENM Counseling: Therapy for those designing relationships beyond traditional limits. Whether clients are opening an existing partnership, navigating compersion and communication, or refining the structure of an established constellation, this work emphasizes consent, transparency, and self-knowledge as core competencies, not optional skills.

Through Troy’s approach to relational architecture, sessions examine how agreements are built, sustained, and evolved over time. The goal is to support partners in building systems of care that reflect their values and capacity for loving more than one human at a time. Sessions focus on communication patterns, emotional boundaries, and ethical autonomy, helping clients create relationships that are both intentional and sustainable.

Each service is offered with the same commitment to depth, integrity, and forward movement. Therapy here is for those seeking clarity, not conformity.
