Hi, I’m Monica, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Local Psychotherapy. I am a neurodivergent, queer-allied therapist providing holistic and affirming care to queer, trans, and gender-expansive folks, as well as individuals navigating religious trauma and faith deconstruction.

I work with individuals and partners, including those in ethical non-monogamous relationships or multiple-partner dynamics, who are navigating complex trauma, intimacy concerns, identity exploration, life transitions, and more. I’m passionate about the in-between moments - the space between what is “right” or “wrong,” “good” or “bad,” where what’s familiar no longer fits and the path forward is still unfolding. I help clients explore these spaces with curiosity and compassion, creating room for uncertainty, self-discovery, and new possibilities.

I draw from attachment-based, emotionally focused, strengths-based, and trauma-focused approaches, grounded in a social justice-informed, feminist, intersectional, and systemic framework. I view each client as a whole person whose lived experiences, relationships, and broader social, political, and cultural contexts shape how they move through the world.
