Dr. Lapite-Garrett runs a boutique private psychology practice offering depth-oriented, trauma-specific care to adult individuals, young adults, late adolescents, and transitional-aged youth navigating complex sexual trauma, compulsive sexual behavior, love obsession, limerence, and the behavioral and relational patterns that form in the wake of chronic attachment disruption. Services are provided in English.
Dr. Lapite-Garrett holds advanced clinical training at the intersection of attachment theory, sexual trauma, and psychodynamic psychotherapy and serves a range of individuals, including BIPOC clients, LGBTQ+ clients, adult industry professionals, high-responsibility individuals, and those whose relational lives include non-monogamous, kink-informed, or otherwise non-normative structures. All relational identities and configurations are received with clinical steadiness and without assumption.
Care is delivered virtually via HIPAA-compliant telehealth, in-person within New Mexico, and on-location at a setting of the client’s choosing. Expansion to additional states is actively in progress.
Specialties include: complex and cumulative sexual trauma (sexual assault, group sexual assault, incest, childhood sexual abuse, sex trafficking, intimate partner sexual violence), compulsive sexual behavior, love obsession and limerence, emotional dysregulation, attachment disruption, ego-dystonic sexual patterns, and the migration of relational attachment into AI companionship, parasocial bonds, and fantasy-based intimacy systems.
