I specialize in helping individuals and partners navigate the extra something that makes their relationship(s) a unique challenge. Folks I work with are often loving outside of the cisheteronormative & mononormative structure such as ethical non-monogamy, kink/BDSM, or other LGBTQ2S+ relationships. I also work with people whose experience of the world may be impacting their relationships, such as folks who are neurodivergent, individuals living with disability, or folks for whom trauma is showing up. I strive to help folks design the intentional relationships they are struggling to create on their own.
What we’ll work on together is understanding how the particulars of your life intersect with your relationship and shape your needs, communication, and boundaries. We will begin a dialogue about the intersection of the relationship(s) and the condition(s)/context(s) which can help to improve the level of understanding and empathy in the relationship.
I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation if you wish to learn more about how we can best address your specific needs and to help you determine whether I would be a good person to collaborate with on your journey.
Please see my website for the most up-to-date information about my practice, including COVID-19 policies, and availability.

I believe every individual is the expert of their lived experience and is equipped with the resources they need to grow, change, and thrive, and I also believe we all need a little help to get there sometimes. I am here to walk alongside you in your journey, offering empathy, challenging harmful beliefs, and providing tools for personal growth.
I have experience supporting folks who are unhoused, sex workers, children in the foster care system, foster parents, people experiencing infertility, people considering their pregnancy options, birth parents, adoptees, traditional families, people experiencing addiction, anxiety, depression, PSTD, and other mental health conditions, LGBTQ+ folks, BIPOC folks, people in the kink community, people in ethically non-monogamous or polyamorous relationships, people considering divorce or separation, children, teenagers, and adults in all stages of life.
I am committed to equity and inclusion, both personally and professionally and my goal is always that my clients feel seen and supported in all aspects of their identity. I am LGBTQ+, and gender affirming, sex/kink positive and welcome all relationship configurations. I recognize and value all types of diversity including ethnicity, race, size, gender, sexual orientation, class, religion, and abilities.

Are you newly venturing into non-monogamy and are feeling excited about navigating this new dynamic, but eager to make sure you are doing it “right”? Or maybe you’ve been enjoying a multi-partner relationship structure for some time, but have recently encountered some new obstacles that are causing you to feel stressed and unsure. You might also benefit from having support with other life challenges that have nothing at all to do with navigating non-monogamy, yet you want the freedom to show up to counseling sessions as your authentic self. I’m here to help. I can help you overcome challenges, strengthen your relationships, and turn stressors into growth opportunities. As humans, we possess an innate capacity for personal growth. Our quality of life is enhanced when we tap into that ability. Counseling provides an effective route towards accessing personal strengths and increasing life satisfaction.
I specialize in supporting triads, dyads and individual adults who are members of non-monogamous and LGBTQIA+ communities. I also provide counseling for monogamous partners of polyamorous individuals. I employ pragmatic and evidenced-based therapy skills that are individually tailored to relational or individual needs. Regardless of where you are on your relationship journey, it is never too late or too early to reach out for support.
Please note that I am a telehealth-based provider, and I am out of network with insurance companies. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss starting counseling services with me, which can be scheduled through my website at www.life-tree-counseling.com or by emailing me at [email protected]. If you have any questions about the logistics of how counseling with me would work, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

If you’re ready to enhance your communication skills and establish healthier boundaries in your relationships, I can help via online therapy. The stress of managing your relationships, combined with work, family, and other responsibilities, can be overwhelming. You might feel guilty for taking time for yourself, questioning if you deserve that moment to breathe. Clients navigating polyamory often feel unheard and overwhelmed because the support they need isn’t readily available. I help individuals take charge of their lives again. Through therapy, I assist clients in understanding how to communicate more effectively and set better boundaries in all their relationships. My inclusive approach ensures that all members of the relationship are acknowledged and valued. With many years of experience providing therapy to the poly community, I have seen significant growth and understanding in my clients.
