Therapy is a process. It is a living and breathing evolution in understanding. And self-discovery is both the journey and the destination.
Curiosity about yourself, and the desire to understand the way your world works, is the jumping-off point. What is your primary way of knowing what you know? What are your defenses and where do they come from? What is your range of emotions and how do they serve you? What drives you, and what holds you back?
Heightening our own awareness of our intentions, our triggers, assumptions we make, and patterns we repeat, gives us a keener sense of our strengths, limitations, and purpose. Change is a constant in the universe-at-large and in our personal sets of circumstances. In asking (and answering) these questions of ourselves, we develop our own unique set of tools to adapt, cope, heal and thrive. (What we are conscious of, we control. What we are unconscious of controls us. - Anonymous)
My areas of special focus include sex workers, alternative sexuality and gender, polyamorous lifestyles, body image, and personal and family relationships. The space we will create together will be one of non-judgment and unconditional understanding. And you will set the direction, pace and boundaries of our conversation.
So, whenever you are ready, come on in. Have a seat. I am looking forward to knowing you.

I practice with a commitment to the dignity of all people. Your personal history is as important as the historical contexts that inform the systems we live in. I carefully calibrate the pace at which we move, and I always prioritize your choice and autonomy in the process of therapy. (Trauma-Informed and Feminist orientation) To support the discovery of new angles, I might ask you to re-imagine your experiences with a new lens. (Narrative Therapy) I believe the past is ripe for insight and I believe in nurturing all of our selves, past present, and future. (Psychodynamic Theory) Life is hard to do alone. I’m on the side of self-love AND I believe our communities and relationships offer a unique opportunity to grow and know ourselves. Every relationship – including the one you and I might start together – is a new lab for healing and exploration, and every relationship holds answers to the mysteries in our selves. (Relational/Attachment Theory)
I work well with clients who want to understand why they’re doing what they do. Whether “single” or “partnered” (all relationships matter, not just the romantic ones), I support all my clients in bridging the gaps between themselves and the people in their lives. I support clients with a wide variety of social identities, relationship formations, and concerns – including: anxiety & depression, symptoms of trauma, identity struggles, existential dilemmas, non-monogamy, and grief. I work with adults – individuals, couples, and friends.

I am affirming of polyamorous, ethically non-monogamous, kink, and LGBTQ+ communities, and I strive to create a nonjudgmental space where people can explore authenticity, connection, boundaries, intimacy, grief, and relational patterns. While I primarily work with individuals, I am also open to working with polycules and nontraditional relationship structures.
I work especially well with clients looking for deeper experiential work around attachment trauma, relational wounds, emotional regulation, self-worth, and building more secure and connected relationships.

REMOTE PRACTICE, NEW YORK, USA
As a neurodiverse, fat, kinky, non-binary, trans* and queer Indonesian Filipinx person who has mixed feelings about being called “resilient”, I’ve struggled to fit into society’s expectations of what I should be and instead found myself through what I am not. Through community care and lots of my own personal therapy, I hope to cultivate three major components within myself and my work with others:
Curiosity: Fucking around and finding out
Queer becomes more than an identity label when you realize there’s seriously no singular “right” way to do things. Together, we can get into some good trouble by challenging those “standards” and redefining what feels “right” for you.
Connection: Being with and accepting all that you are, as you are
Not to be confused with apathy, hopelessness or passiveness. Being connected is an active choice to come at those parts of us we hate with compassion and curiosity.
Compassion: Doing hard things in soft ways
As a result of trauma, oftentimes, we’ll raise our shields and create armor to protect us from the pain. While that’s completely understandable, closing ourselves up from the bad stuff will simultaneously block us from receiving any goodness. What we may have done in the past to help us survive may not be serving us as much anymore. Our sessions can be a space for you to set down that armor, just for a little bit, and rest.

I work with individuals 18 years and older, couples, and other family constellations including polyamorous families. I particularly enjoy working with women, LGBTQ folks, and young adults.
Common issues people bring include child abuse, post-traumatic stress, relationships (including open, polyamorous and kinky relationships), depression, anxiety, LGBTQ , mid-life, work, and alcohol and other drugs. I also am interested in working with children/ grandchildren of Holocaust survivors, introverts, women who are sexually fluid in their orientation/identity, rural residents, military brats, academics, highly intelligent people, classical musicians, human service managers, and social justice advocates.
I use a combination of techniques that best meet your needs, including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, family systems, and solution-focused approaches.
My underlying orientation is looking at the person(s) in environment, which includes a strong social justice commitment. It is important to understand how issues such as lack of access to housing, a poor economy, homophobia, sexism, and racism impact upon what we perceive as our individual or family problems.
I can do therapy over the Internet if you are in California or Florida. If you are on PHP/Beacon Medi-Cal in Sonoma, Marin and some other northern California counties, I can now do online therapy.
My standard hourly rate (50 minutes) is $130 with the initial intake at 80 minutes at $195. Sometimes I can reduce this rate. I accept Medicare and Medi-Cal if you receive Medi-Cal through Partnership/Beacon and reside in Sonoma County or counties further north. I can provide a superbill for other insurance companies.
